Okay back to bloggingÂ
nyghee asked: New to foundations/BB creams and I hear people saying that they put powder over their foundation. What kind of powder is it??
People usually put powder over foundations and BB Creams to help them last longer! Sometimes if the foundation isnt very long wearing they will just slide off your face when it gets too hot, or when you sweat or when you get oily. Foundations don’t always stick to your face ALL day they begin to wear off after a few hours.
Using powder over any liquid products like BB Creams and foundation helps the makeup stick to your skin better so it will last longer and you won’t look an oily, greasy mess! But you don’t want to apply too much powder because that can look cakey. Some people with dry skin or those who don’t like a matte/powder finish usually skip powder.
There are many different powders you can use some are full coverage, some are light coverage, some give no coverage (translucent powders, white powders that apply clear). A great beginner powder is Maybelline Fit Me powder, it won’t look cakey and gives some extra coverage but not too much so it still looks natural. So perhaps start off with that :)
Hello :)
Just a little reminder that I do get more questions a day than I can answer so If i don’t reply I’m not ignoring you I swear! lol. About 50% of the questions are ones you can find the answer to in either my Frequently Asked Questions, Popular Answered Questions or Makeup Tips. Â More links also at the top of my page. If it’s something like good products for oily skin, eyeshadows to compliment my eye color, brushes, etc then it’s most likely there!
I just hate to see people’s questions go unanswered so please check there, I hope it helps! <3
liveskyhigh asked: Do you think the ELF HD powder and Makeup forever HD powder are very similar? Which one do you recommend?
They both have similar effects and make your skin look more flawless than without a translucent powder. They have “blurring” properties making your skin look softer and smoother. However the Makeup Forever one controls my shine better! But if you arent oily then the ELF ones is a great cheaper option :)
Personally I never buy the full size Makeup Forever HD powder I ALWAYS buy the $16 travel size for 2 reasons 1) I’m cheap 2) the big one is really chunky and the travel size lasts me around 6 months anyway. So if you are interested in the MUFE one try the travel size first because it will still last a while :)
